Cook County Commissioner Robert Steele is teaming up with Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart to collect used cell phones that will be given to Senior Citizens as 911 Emergency Cell Phones. So don't throw away your old cell phones or let them sit in a drawer or closet in your home. Your unused cell phones could be a lifesaver for a senior citizen.
Bring any old cell phones to Commissioner Steele's office at 3936 W. Roosevelt Road, 1st Floor, Chicago, IL 60624.
If you are involved with a community group or business that would like to hold a cell phone drive to help provide free emergency cell phones for Cook County senior citizens, arrangements can be made to pick up donations at other facilities. FMI call 773.869.7878.
